Internet of Everything (IoE)

Internet of Everything (IoE) aims to create new capabilities, richer experiences, and unprecedented economic opportunity for businesses, individuals, and countries by bringing together people, processes, data, and the things that surround us.

Under the IoE framework, people will be able to connect to internet in innumerable ways and may themselves be considered as nodes of the systems. Data reporting based on information and communication technology (ICT) fundamentals will aim to communicate information instead of raw data and make seamless decision making possible. Context-aware things sensing at rates higher than the current technologies will assist in creating better people-machine interfaces with applications such as disposable sensors on food items to monitor their quality and smart buildings to assist their human residents will doubtlessly increase the ease and comfort of life. To gel the constituent entities of IoE in strong fashion, processes are envisioned to deliver value in the connected world of IoE. With the correct process, connections become relevant and add value because the right information is delivered to the right person at the right time in the appropriate way. This revolution will touch our lives on many scales and may be the key smarter solutions for applications such as city management and may help prepare us to actively combat issues such as climate change and world hunger. However, the challenges associated with IoE are not small by any means. In IoE group, our mission is to overcome these challenges under different research areas defined based on IoE span.
