Biography
Pietro Lio is a Reader in Computational Biology in the Computer Laboratory, which is the department of Computer Science of the University of Cambridge and He is a member of the Artificial Intelligence group of the Computer Laboratory.
He has a MA from University of Cambridge, a PhD in Complex Systems and Non Linear Dynamics from School of Informatics, department of Engineering, University of Firenze, Italy, and a PhD in (Theoretical) Genetics, University of Pavia, Italy.
He is affiliated to Cambridge Computational Biology Institute and is a member of Cambridge Neuroscience, Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy, Health, Medicine & Society, POEMS (Predictive mOdelling for hEalthcare technology through MathS), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), VPH (Virtual Physiologycal Human) and SMB (society for mathematical biology). He is Educational Affiliate Employee Member of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
